Your warehouse on a safe course

Training objective

After attending the seminar, participants will be able to recognize and assess damage to their system and initiate further action.

Target group

Employees from the areas of warehouse management, logistics, maintenance,
maintenance, construction and assembly. Occupational safety specialists, safety officers and all persons who handle racks and warehouses or are responsible for their safety.


On request, we can organize hotel accommodation for you (costs borne by the participant). Catering will be provided by us. Background­information on Shelf safety training

Shelving systems and their equipment are considered work equipment within the meaning of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). Therefore, according to § 3 BetrSichV, the employer must also prepare a risk assessment for shelving systems and, according to § 14, have the shelving system inspected by a competent person in accordance with the determined intervals.

DIN EN 15 635 differentiates here between the weekly inspection and the so-called expert inspection, which must be carried out at intervals of a maximum of 12 months by a competent person - e.g. an association-certified shelving inspector.

While you can have the weekly inspection carried out by your own staff - provided suitable personnel are available - the expert inspection requires special specialist knowledge, which is only available to persons who have been trained in accordance with DIN EN 15635 and can provide a test certificate. Furthermore, it is essential to inspect the statics and technical documentation in order to carry out the expert inspection, as the inspection not only checks the system for damaged components, but also for specification compliance and the use of approved, compliant components.

During this time, however, the operator is in no way released from § 9.4.2.2 of the DIN EN 15635:2007 standard. This requires that the safety officer must ensure that inspections are carried out weekly or at other regular intervals based on a risk analysis. This inspection can be carried out by competent, in-house personnel. After the seminar, you will be able to recognize and assess damage to your system and initiate further action.
