META built a modern distribution centre for CAR GmbH & Co. KG to store wear and tear parts and spare parts for commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The aim was to combine well-organised storage, safe processes and the efficient use of the available space.

A three-storey META MULTIFLOOR shelving system with a vertical conveyor is in use. The solution is complemented by a META MULTIPAL pallet racking system, including storage for hazardous substances. This creates additional storage capacity and minimises handling distances during order picking.

The combination of the various racking systems brings together structure, safety and high storage capacity. META supported the project from planning through to implementation, thereby creating a high-performance foundation for CAR’s day-to-day logistics operations.
